After ten fulfilling years as a graphic designer for a landscape architecture firm, I yearned to move away from the computer, and to make art the old fashioned way, with my hands. I wanted to lean into the slow, thoughtful pace and uncompromising results of working with physical materials.
At Anderson Ranch, I studied with Jean Gumpper, a master of the reduction woodcut. I fell in love with that process, and have practiced with her methods for several years. More recently I began to experiment with mixed media (layered botanical prints and gouache) and to explore the brilliant simplicity of monoprints.
Learning the art of printmaking is a lifelong journey…and I am grateful to be on the path. Stay tuned for my ever-evolving print offerings!
